Welder / Fabricator
- Permanent position
- Location: Harwich, Essex (CO12)
- Rate Guide: £16.00-£19.00 per hour (DOE)
- Overtime: paid at time and one-third, good hours available
- Monday to Friday, 0715 to 1600 hours - 40 hours per week
- Core requirement: MIG & TIG Welding + Fabrication
- Any structural steel experience beneficial
Join a busy, local, established engineering workshop producing high-quality fabricated steelwork and welded assemblies. You'll be working on a range of fabrication jobs, from prep through to final finish, following engineering drawings and specs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform TIG and MIG welding to manufacture components.
- Fabrication from drawings (cut, prep, tack, weld, dress/finish)
- Work from detailed engineering drawings to meet project specifications.
- Ensure high-quality workmanship in the fabrication of sheet metal components.
- Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards in the workplace.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Extensive hands-on experience in MIG and TIG welding.
- Proven expertise in sheet metal fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations.
- Any welding certifications (coding) would be an advantage but not essential.
