Job Description Electrical Assembly and Test Technician ~ Salary to £40,560 per year (equivalent up to £20.00 per hour) ~ Overtime paid at time-and-a-half ~ Permanent Position, Factory-based ~ Location: in the Cambourne - St. Neots area, Bedfordshire ~39 hours per week, Monday to Friday ~07:30 start with an early finish every Friday (12:00 midday) ~ Rural / out-of-town location - own transport required A leading manufacturer of bespoke food processing systems is recruiting an Electrical Assembly and Test Technician. You'll be wiring complete machines, carrying out functional testing/I-O checks, basic fault-finding, and supporting electrical work across the factory. Key duties Machine wiring (sensors, motors, actuators, interconnects) Read schematics/layout drawings/BOMs Functional testing + basic fault-finding Assist with installs, upgrades and improvement projects Essential Machine wiring/industrial electrical assembly background Confident reading drawings and fault diagnosis Experience with DOL and VFD systems Good teamwork and attention to quality/safety Desirable ~18th Edition ~ PLC/HMI exposure ~ Installation experience Career Progression Development routes available into Controls Engineering (PLC/HMI), Test & Validation, Electrical Design (EPLAN/BOMs/layouts) and Commissioning (UK & international).
