Are you a hands-on mechanical technician who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and seeing your work in the field? We are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected engineering solutions provider at the forefront of industrial cleaning technologies. Their specialist mechanical systems support critical infrastructure across power generation, oil & gas, and waste management sectors.
This permanent, full-time role offers a true hybrid of workshop and field work: approximately 70% based in the Dumbarton workshop and 30% on customer sites across the UK, with occasional overseas travel.

- Permanent | Full-Time | 70% Workshop / 30% Field-Based
- Total: 37 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday & Wednesday 07:45 - 16:30; Tuesday & Thursday 07:45 - 16:00; Friday 07:45 - 12:45
Package

Key Responsibilities
- Assemble gearboxes and mechanical sub-assemblies to precise specifications
- Complete final assembly and in-house testing of sootblower systems
- Perform mechanical servicing, inspections, maintenance and overhauls at customer sites (UK and occasional international)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and follow standard operating procedures
- Work to strict health & safety standards, including Safe Systems of Work and lock-out/tag-out
- Maintain tools, equipment and documentation to professional standards
- Represent the business professionally on-site, ensuring work meets safety, quality and performance requirements
What Weβre Looking For
- Recognised mechanical apprenticeship or relevant technical qualification
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and mechanical assembly
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing, field service or maintenance engineering
- Proactive, methodical problem-solver and strong team player
- Full UK driving licence and valid passport (essential)
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends when required
