Customs Clearance Specialist – Freight Forwarder This is an amazing time to join this very established fright forwarding and logistics company with over 50 years of experience in the industry. Multi-model specialist covering both Import & Exports of cargo (Air, Sea Road & Rail). We are seeking a proactive Customs Clearance Specialist with a min of 2 years\’ experience across all modes of transport to join our team. Role overview: As a Customs Clearance Specialist you will be part of a team responsible for arranging a variety of import clearances for key clients, ensuring prompt processing to maintain a high level of service. Liaising with customers, suppliers, subcontractors to provide necessary information in processing customs clearance accurately and compliantly adhering to HMRC guidelines. Advise on Commodity codes. Offer guidance to customers importing goods into the UK. Raising invoices, including DUTY and VAT invoices, manual calculation of taxes. A proven track record of at leave 2 years working for a small to medium sized freight forwarder. Previous experience in processing and completing entries using CDS, including deep-sea ocean freight clearance or European road freight clearance Confidence in navigating HMRC online tariffs (UK online trade tariff and other.GOV resources) with a solid understanding of customs commodity codes and procedures. CNS and Destin8 experience – Multi freight Strong attention to detail Excellent communication skills MS office proficient.Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm Free parking on site.
