Job Title: CNC Machinist
Location: Birkenhead, Wirral
Hours: Monday to Friday (38 hours over 4 or 5 days)
Salary: £34,000 – £40,000 per annum
Overtime: Available at time and a half
We\’re seeking a skilled CNC Miller Setter to join a growing team in Birkenhead. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both online and offline programming and confident working from technical engineering drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Set, program, and operate CNC milling machines in line with production and safety standards
- Perform online and offline programming (experience with Heidenhain controls preferred but not essential)
- Carry out minor maintenance and repairs to ensure maximum equipment uptime and efficiency
- Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and attention to detail
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years post-apprenticeship experience in a similar CNC machining role
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
- High attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Experience with Heidenhain systems is advantageous
