Hours: 06:30-18:30, 5 shifts per week (may include weekends)
Role Overview: HRGO Recruitment Ashford is recruiting a motivated and reliable Production Operative on behalf of a production client based in Chartham, near Canterbury. This is an ongoing temporary role with a genuine opportunity to become permanent based on performance. The role involves supporting the smooth and efficient running of the packing line while maintaining high standards of Health & Safety, Hygiene, and Compliance. Immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the running of the packing line, including start-up checks
- Work closely with Line Leaders, ODS, Chiller, and Machine Operators
- Ensure correct packaging, labelling, and product specifications are followed
- Maintain hygiene, quality, and food safety standards at all times
- Complete basic paperwork accurately, including updating the minus sheet
- Assist with monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages
- Keep the working area clean, safe, and well organised
- Report completed work and issues to the Line Leader or Packhouse Manager
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in food production or packing is preferred but not essential
- Good communication skills with a strong level of English
- Basic Maths skills
- Able to work under pressure and meet production targets
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
