About the Role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive business development and expand their customer base within your designated region. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities, developing a structured customer call plan, and maintaining detailed records to support business growth. This is a dynamic and flexible role, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact within a thriving company. Previous experience selling to a variety of industries or working in the industrial laundry is a significant advantage. This role covers customers across Scotland / North East, and therefore we are looking for someone who is a self-starter and able to travel a wide location for face-to-face client meetings, as well as conducting virtual meetings from home/office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively generate new leads and identify business growth opportunities.
  • Build and maintain an active sales pipeline.
  • Maintain accurate records of all prospects, contacts and follow-up actions.
  • Develop a clear understanding of the company's services and the markets they operate in. Be able to clearly articulate the company's offering to prospective clients.
  • Leverage CRM and Sales Automation tools to track performance, measure KPI's and refine your sales approach.
  • Build strategic networks with key decision makers and influencers to expand the company's market reach.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify gaps in the market and position our client as the "go to" provider.
  • Identify and pursue new business development opportunities, using a robust follow-up strategy.
  • Prepare and present sales reports to management.
  • Participate in trade shows, team meetings, and special projects as required.
