- Job Title: Yard Operative
- Location: Bridgwater
- Hourly rate: £12.71 per hour
- Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm (1 hour lunch)
- Job type: Temporary to permanent
HRGO Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist equipment rental company for a Yard Operative to join their team. This is a hands-on role within a busy depot, supporting the preparation, maintenance, inspection and servicing of specialist hire equipment and depot assets.
General Duties:
- Prepare equipment ready for hire
- Paint hire equipment and depot assets using airless sprayers, brushes and rollers
- Complete stencilling of equipment
- Clean equipment using pressure washers Inspect, service and carry out basic repairs where required and within your competency
- Load, unload, move and store equipment safely
- Operate forklift trucks - full training provided
- Use pneumatic and electrical hand tools - full training provided
- Maintain accurate inspection and service records
- Identify and report damaged or out-of-service equipment
- Maintain accurate stock levels and depot standards
- Keep the depot clean, organised and safe
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a depot, engineering, maintenance, painting or similar hands-on environment is desirable
- Good attention to detail and ability to complete paperwork accurately
- Comfortable using scanners, PDAs, tablets and computers
- Physically fit and able to carry out a hands-on role
- Flexible, reliable and trustworthy with excellent timekeeping
- Positive attitude towards Health & Safety and the environment
