HRGO Recruitment are seeking an experienced Brake Press Operator to join our client\’s family run engineering business based in Chard, Somerset. They offer a one stop shop for all engineering needs and produced work for many different industries including Retail, Railway, Electronics, Incubation, Restaurant, Hotel and vending.
The successful candidate will need strong mechanical ability and experience in operating press brake machinery.
Duties
- Operate press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal according to specifications.
- Set up tooling and adjust machine settings for various production runs.
- Grind and finish edges of fabricated parts to meet quality standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on brake press machines.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Role Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
