I am working with a well-established firm of Chartered Accountants with several offices across Kent. Their Dover office is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to support a portfolio of small and medium-sized business clients.
You’ll handle bookkeeping, VAT returns, and Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements, while overseeing and reviewing work from other team members. This is a hands‑on role in a friendly, modern office environment, offering excellent scope for professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Manage MTD processes (from April 2026)
- Delegate and review bookkeeping tasks for the team
- Liaise directly with clients to ensure deadlines are met
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years\’ bookkeeping experience (practice experience)
- Proficient in Xero and other cloud accounting software is a must
