We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to lead and deliver high-quality tenders and proposals. The successful candidate will take ownership of the end-to-end bid process, ensuring compliant, compelling, and timely submissions that win work and support business growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the full bid lifecycle from opportunity capture and strategy through submission and post-submission follow-up.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (commercial, operations, technical, legal) to gather inputs and ensure cohesive proposals.
- Develop win themes, tailored content, and persuasive, well-structured written responses with a strong attention to detail.
- Maintain bid trackers, deadlines and version control to ensure accurate, on-time delivery of multiple simultaneous bids.
- Implement and maintain bid templates, best-practice content library and continuous improvement of bid processes.
- Ensure compliance with procurement and tender requirements, terms and conditions, and submission instructions.
- Support pricing and commercial input by preparing bid costs and evaluating commercial risks in collaboration with stakeholders.
Required skills and experience:
- Proven experience managing bids/tenders, ideally within construction, compliance, or fire safety sectors.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent organisational skills - able to handle multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
