Job Description MET Technician/MET Strip & Fitter Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Our client is a well-established, independent automotive repair and maintenance business with over 30 years of experience delivering exceptional service to customers across Essex. Operating from multiple sites, the company provides vehicle servicing, repairs, commercial vehicle maintenance, and accident repair services from a modern, fully equipped Bodyshop facility. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced MET Technician/MET Strip & Fitter to join their busy Bodyshop team in Basildon. As an MET Technician, you will be responsible for dismantling, repairing, and reassembling accident-damaged vehicles to manufacturer standards, ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults. Collaborate with panel technicians, painters, and other workshop staff to ensure efficient vehicle throughput. Attend training courses and team meetings as required. Previous experience as an MET Technician, Vehicle Technician, or Bodyshop Mechanic. Hybrid and/or Electric Vehicle certification. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Four-wheel alignment training and experience. Competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum. Workshop Opening Hours: Monday to Friday: 7:00am - 5:30pm (includes a 30-minute unpaid break) Overtime: Saturday work available at enhanced overtime rates.
