HRGO are recruiting for a
Technical Admin Assistant on behalf of our client in Ashford.
This role plays a key part in supporting the inspection and clearance of imported goods, ensuring compliance with UK import regulations, and assisting Officers and Official Veterinarians in their day-to-day operations.
This is mainly an office-based role, with some support required in inspection areas.
Key responsibilities
- Complete CHED and IUU document checks.
- Use AI systems to support document verification and resolve discrepancies.
- Deal with telephone and email enquiries from agents and hauliers.
- Carry out seal and identity checks.
- Record inspection findings using tablets and internal systems, including Philis.
- Assist with detention documentation and sampling.
- Coordinate lorry movements across the site.
- Maintain accurate records.
Skills required
- Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
- Strong administration, organisation and attention to detail.
- Good IT and Microsoft Office skills.
- Confident using digital and AI-assisted systems.
- Experience in food safety, import/export, logistics or regulated environments.
- Experience with regulatory or enforcement bodies.
- Knowledge of public sector operations or compliance.
