We are excited to once again be supporting our Ashford based client in their search for a Design Engineer. You will be joining a great company that really supports staff in their ongoing development. The successful candidate will report to the Technical Director and work alongside the existing technical team consisting of mechanical and electrical design engineers.
The role:
- Mechanical design of machinery
- Producing new component and assembly drawings
- Specifying machinery contents and generating bills of materials for production release
- Working within current CE Machinery Directive/UKCA requirements
- Maintaining existing design data including processing ECNs and conversion from 2D to 3D CAD
The ideal candidate would have:
- 5+ years in automated industrial machinery design environment
- SolidWorks experience (essential), ideally with use of PDM Vault
- Experience of pneumatics, PLC and electro-mechanical systems
- Understanding of the Machinery Directive & CE/UKCA Marking
- Experience of filling and capping machinery
- Good written and oral communication skills
