We are looking for a CAD Technician for our Ashford based client, the ideal candidate will have strong CAD skills and experience or interest in working within the construction sector.
Key responsibilities:
- Create, update and manage 2D and 3D CAD drawings and technical documentation.
- Translate design concepts, sketches and site information into accurate CAD models and drawings.
- Coordinate drawing revisions and maintain drawing standards, file naming and version control.
- Work with project teams to ensure drawings meet design, constructability and compliance requirements.
- Prepare layout plans, detail drawings, schedules and material lists as required.
- Assist with clash detection, drawing issue control and handover documentation.
- Support on site surveys and incorporate measured data into drawings when needed.
Essential skills and experience:
- Strong CAD skills with a proven track record producing high quality technical drawings.
- Experience using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar) and familiarity with CAD best practices.
- Ideally some exposure to the construction sector or building services, civil or structural projects.
