These three roles are located in Ashford, Kent and require driving and access to your own car. These job roles will have an additional £6,240 as the roles require 2 nights a week sleep-ins which are paid at an additional £60 per sleep-in. The two sleep-ins/night shifts a week are non-negotiable.

These roles involve supporting vulnerable children of different ages and backgrounds, many of whom have experienced trauma and need help with daily life. It's a rewarding but challenging position focused on providing stability and care.

During the day, when most children are at school or in lessons, duties include cooking, cleaning, laundry, ironing, and keeping the home maintained. Some children may be home-schooled, so you may also help supervise while tutors are present. Children often stay long-term, so building strong, consistent relationships and acting as a positive role model is key.

You'll be based in one of three homes in the Ashford area, working closely with both the children and your team to create a safe, supportive environment.

  • Role 1: Residential Care Worker, two different contracts available:
  • 39 hours weekly: £26,668.20 + the additional £6,240 for the sleep-ins
  • 45 hours weekly: £30,771 + the additional £6,240 for the sleep-ins
  • Role 2: Senior Residential Care Worker, two different contracts available:
    • 39 hours weekly: Probation - £30,622.80 After - £31,677.36 + the additional £6,240 for the sleep-ins
    • 45 hours weekly: Probation - £35,334 + After - £36,580 + the additional £6,240 for the sleep-ins

    Skills: Previous experience in a care setting or with vulnerable children (necessary). NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (bonus but not essential).
