Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain Swanscombe, Kent £13.50 - £14 per hour Temporary
We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative to join a busy warehouse team. This role is ideal for someone with a valid counterbalance licence and hands-on experience in order picking, packing and unloading. You will play a key part in ensuring accurate, efficient movement of goods and maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently to move pallets and stock
- Carry out order picking using manual or RF scanner methods, ensuring accuracy and speed
- Pack goods to company standards for dispatch, including labelling and documentation
- Unload incoming deliveries and check goods against delivery notes
- Perform basic stock control and cycle counts; report discrepancies
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment and follow all health & safety procedures
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as required to meet daily targets
Essential Skills & Experience
- Valid Counterbalance Licence (required)
- Proven experience in order picking, packing and unloading
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Physically fit and able to lift/move items as required
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual and able to work to deadlines
Hours & Benefits
- Full-time role; Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm.
