Call Centre and Customer Service Harlow, Essex £13.00 - £13.30 per hour Temporary

Our client is looking for people to join their Patient Service team. You'll need excellent customer service skills, proven data entry experience, and provide compassionate telephone support with a calm, patient manner. A basic DBS will be required for this role - applicants must either hold a current DBS or be willing to obtain one themselves.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls, delivering excellent customer service
  • Manage patient enquiries
  • Complete accurate data entry and keep patient records up to date
  • Produce written follow-ups (e.g., letters) where patients can't be reached by phone
  • Work to deadlines and service targets, escalating issues appropriately
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in line with data protection

Essential experience/skills

  • Excellent customer service skills and professional telephone manner
  • Calm, patient and empathetic approach when speaking with patients, including vulnerable individuals
  • Strong data entry experience (accurate, with high attention to detail)
  • Confident using IT systems (CRM/database/admin systems)
  • Organised, reliable and able to manage a busy workload

Desirable

  • Previous contact centre experience
  • Experience in healthcare, patient services or clinical administration
