EMPLOYMENT BASIS: Permanent
LOCATION: Gloucester
HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours
REPORTS TO: Group Financial Controller
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Calculate and review cost of sales
- Reconcile inventory
- Prepare accruals and prepayments schedules
- Prepare and review payroll journals
- Maintain the fixed asset register
- Reconcile and agree intercompany accounts
- Review management accounts and analyse variances
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations including: Fixed assets, Inventory and inventory provisions, Prepayments, Trade debtors and creditors, Warranty provisions, Accruals, Intercompany balances
Performance Analysis
- Support analysis of divisional performance
Other Duties
- Complete month-end processes
- Implement process control improvements to ensure data integrity within finance systems
- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements
- Support system implementations and improvements
- Complete VAT returns
- Support budgeting and year-end audit processes
Skills & Qualifications
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
- Proactive and inquisitive mindset
- Experience within a manufacturing environment and inventory accounting
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Sage 200) advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
