EMPLOYMENT BASIS: Permanent

LOCATION: Gloucester

HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours

REPORTS TO: Group Financial Controller

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts
  • Calculate and review cost of sales
  • Reconcile inventory
  • Prepare accruals and prepayments schedules
  • Prepare and review payroll journals
  • Maintain the fixed asset register
  • Reconcile and agree intercompany accounts
  • Review management accounts and analyse variances
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations including: Fixed assets, Inventory and inventory provisions, Prepayments, Trade debtors and creditors, Warranty provisions, Accruals, Intercompany balances

Performance Analysis

  • Support analysis of divisional performance

Other Duties

  • Complete month-end processes
  • Implement process control improvements to ensure data integrity within finance systems
  • Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements
  • Support system implementations and improvements
  • Complete VAT returns
  • Support budgeting and year-end audit processes

Skills & Qualifications

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
  • Proactive and inquisitive mindset
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment and inventory accounting
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Sage 200) advantageous
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
