We are seeking a motivated and experienced Conversion Supervisor to lead the Conversion team and support the continued growth of the business. This role requires a strong leader who can drive performance, uphold company values, and ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations across the workshop.
You will oversee daily production activity, coordinate with multiple departments, manage staff planning, and play a key role in continuous improvement initiatives.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership
- Manage the Conversion production schedule and adapt plans as required
- Define deadlines for orders and adjust machine/shop capacity based on workload
- Coordinate closely with Extrusion, Maintenance, Logistics, Technical Service and SEP
- Oversee installation and start-up of new machinery in collaboration with Technical teams
- Monitor equipment maintenance and ensure timely interventions
- People Management
- Conduct team and individual meetings
- Create staff rotas and adapt planning to operational needs
- Propose training plans and support staff development
- Participate in recruitment and decision-making processes
- Validate hours worked and manage temporary labour requirements
- Address organisational or interpersonal issues effectively
- Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Lead or co-lead improvement projects (5S, SMED, TPM)
- Define and monitor KPIs for the PP transformation area
- Analyse production incidents, customer complaints and non-conformities
- Set team and individual objectives and evaluate performance
- Research and implement technical improvements to enhance productivity and quality
- Support development of new products and process evolution
- Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure product quality controls are completed and recorded
- Conduct risk analysis and support safety assessments
- Enforce Quality, Safety and Environmental procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workshop and surrounding areas
- Support waste sorting and recycling policies

Personal Profile
- Training & Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Technical qualification preferred
- Background in plastics or conversion processes desirable
- Strong computer literacy
- English language skills preferred
- Skills & Knowledge
- Expertise in technical conversion processes
- Strong leadership and people-management capability
- ERP experience desirable
- Solid understanding of safety culture
- Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills
- Open-minded, proactive, and a role model in manufacturing leadership
- Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing
- Experience in product conversion is highly desirable
