Salary: £24.00 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm

Benefits:

  • 25 days annual leave, increasing to 30 days with service, plus bank holidays

  • Overtime available between 6:00am to 8:00am and 4:00pm to 6:00pm

The Role:

We are currently looking for an experienced CNC 3 & 5 Axis Miller to join a busy and well-established manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines with Mazatrol controls, machining precision components to extremely tight tolerances. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist who takes pride in high-quality engineering work and enjoys working in a precision-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set, operate, and run CNC machining processes on 3 and 5-axis machining centres
  • Carry out machine setups for products routed through the machining process
  • Machine precision components to tight tolerances
  • Provide input and advice on fixtures, tooling, and machining processes
  • Train and support operators on machine operation and inspection standards
  • Conduct self-inspection and complete quality documentation as required
  • Work from engineering drawings, inspection plans, and shop floor documentation
  • Accurately record production and inspection data
  • Carry out basic preventative machine maintenance in line with company procedures
  • Support continuous improvement within the machining department

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience as a CNC Setter/Operator within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Strong experience with 3 and 5-axis machining centres
  • Experience working with Mazatrol controls
  • Recognised apprenticeship in machining or a related engineering discipline preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to use own initiative
  • Experience working to extremely tight tolerances (0.010mm)
  • Positive and flexible attitude towards manufacturing processes and techniques
  • Good attendance and timekeeping record
  • Reasonable standard of secondary education
