Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate HGV Class 1 or Class 2 vehicles across UK customer and supplier sites
  • Safely transport packaged hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and securing loads where required
  • Ensure correct use of equipment including pumps, hoses, and spill kits

Compliance & Safety:

  • Adhere strictly to ADR, transport legislation, and company procedures
  • Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly
  • Maintain full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Ensure correct use of PPE at all times
  • Uphold safe driving practices at all times

Documentation & Communication:

  • Accurately complete all required paperwork, including waste transfer notes
  • Work closely with the transport office to meet delivery schedules
  • Support efficient route planning and operational performance

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence
  • Valid CPC qualification
  • ADR certification
  • Digital Tachograph (Digi Tacho) card

Desirable:

  • Previous HGV driving experience (newly qualified drivers considered)
  • Experience in hazardous or regulated transport environments

Additional Information:

  • Typical start times around 06:00 (no fixed shift pattern)
  • UK-wide travel required
