Are you an experienced Laser Programmer? HR Employment Bureau are looking for an experienced Laser Programmer to work with one of their prestigious clients based in the Nottingham area.

Working hours of Laser Programmer:

Pay Rate of Laser Programmer: £14.00ph (increases after probation period)

Key Responsibilities of Laser Programmer:

  • Produce accurate laser cutting programs from customer drawings and CAD files.
  • Create efficient nests to maximise material utilisation and reduce waste.
  • Ensure programs meet customer specifications and quality requirements.
  • Work closely with Production Planning to prioritise urgent work and meet delivery deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate programming records and documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement by reviewing programming methods and improving efficiencies.
  • Communicate effectively with shop floor operators to resolve programming queries.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety policies and company procedures.

Essential Skills & Experience of Laser Programmer:

  • Previous experience programming laser cutting machinery within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience using CAD/CAM programming software.
  • Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.
  • Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Bystronic BySoft, Trumpf Boost, Solidworks or similar programming software.
  • Experience within precision engineering or sheet metal manufacturing.
