We’re looking for an experienced Floristry Manager to take the lead in our busy and creative department. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the floristry team, ensuring every arrangement meets our high standards while delivering the exceptional service our customers expect. Department: Floristry
Contract: Full‑Time
Includes: Monday to Friday with a rota’d day off in the week and alternate weekends
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage daily operations of the floristry department
- Organise staff schedules and rotas
- To manage the floristry team which will include planning & managing staff resources
- Lead and inspire the team to deliver exceptional designs and service
- Allocating staff duties to ensure all tasks are actioned in priority order and completed within an acceptable timescale.
- Coordinate daily team activities to meet departmental goals within set timelines
- Maintain quality standards and oversee inventory management
- Address and resolve complaints from both staff and customers efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service and assist with any enquiries
- Ensure the shop is fully stocked, visually appealing, and staffed to assist customers
- General housekeeping of the floristry department, ensuring clean and tidy work stations
- Replenishing and merchandising products on the shop floor as required ensuring that all the products are correctly priced, clearly marked and displayed safely
Key Skills and Competencies
- Minimum 2 years’ Experience
- Experience in weddings, funerals, functions, cooperate etc.
- Flower knowledge is essential for this role
- Approachable and enthusiastic
- The ability to work to deadlines efficiently and effectively
- Able to work in a fast-paced working environment
- Excellent communication skills – you’ll be speaking regularly with various stakeholders
- A relevant qualification in floristry is desirable but not essential.
