Collectiv Food is looking for a Placement Data Analyst to join our dynamic team and support the future of B2B food distribution. Based in King’s Cross, this role is part of a collaborative and supportive team where new ideas and learning are encouraged. As a member of the data team, you will work on meaningful projects that contribute to improvements across the foodservice industry. This role requires working from our London office 2–3 times per week to connect with the wider team. Candidates should be based in London or able to travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- As our first Placement Data Analyst, you will play a key role in helping us use data effectively across the organisation.
- With guidance from the data analyst, you will develop new skills, gain experience with different technologies, and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders across the business.
- Learn a modern and user-friendly data analysis tech stack (Snowflake/Looker).
- Use the support of an AI agent to crunch data and help refine the AI agent for better outputs.
- Get familiar with an orchestration tool (Dagster) to schedule data extraction and transformation.
- Organise and structure raw data from a variety of sources.
- Work with teams across the business to understand their needs and build data models in Looker to explore opportunities and assess risks.
- Create clear and engaging dashboards to share insights and support decision‑making.
- Contribute to simple tools using Google Sheets and Google Apps Script.
- Build relationships with teams across the business to understand their challenges and support data‑driven decision‑making.
- Balance analytical and technical thinking to support business objectives.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Basic SQL knowledge – ability to read and write simple SQL statements.
- Exposure to AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude…).
- Strong skills in Google Sheets/Excel.
- Understanding of different data formats – JSON, XML, CSV, etc.
