Then join our thriving garden centre café as our next Café Supervisor in our Greenhouse Café! Your job will be to work alongside our Café Manager and Café Assistant Manager to ensure smooth running of our large café area, making sure all our guests receive the best experience possible.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Welcome guests upon arrival and ensure a friendly farewell when they leave.

Take guests' orders efficiently and accurately, inputting them into the system for seamless service.

Possess in-depth knowledge of the menu, including food and drink options, to assist guests with informed choices.

Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met consistently, adhering to health and safety regulations in both preparation and service.

Serve food and beverages to guests promptly while checking on their satisfaction throughout their visit.

Maintain cleanliness and order in the café, including regular cleaning of floors, tables, and back areas.

Train and onboard new team members, ensuring they understand company standards, customer service expectations, and job responsibilities.

Build rapport with guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business and customer loyalty.

Foster a culture of exceptional customer service, ensuring every guest has a positive experience from start to finish.

Inspire and motivate the team, providing guidance and mentorship to help them exceed performance goals while maintaining a positive, upbeat environment.

Key Skills and Competencies

You must have at least 1 year of experience within the hospitality industry.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential, along with eligibility to work in the UK.

A professional appearance and good personal hygiene are required.

Basic knowledge of food hygiene standards is necessary.

A genuine passion for customer satisfaction and providing excellent service.

Flexibility is required in terms of working hours to meet the needs of the business.

Previous supervisory experience.
