Join a thriving garden centre café as a member of our talented kitchen team, serving guests fresh breakfasts, lunches, pizzas, paninis, and fresh homemade cakes to hundreds of guests every day, in our newly refurbished 400-seat café. We're looking for a Chef to support our Kitchen Team in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. The menu is straightforward but produced to the highest standard, using quality ingredients and efficient systems. No two days are the same and you will be faced with different, exciting challenges to help you develop your culinary skills.
Daytime hours - no evenings! Full-time permanent role (40 hours per week). Excellent staff discount across the garden centre. Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Easter Sunday off. Brand new kitchen. A supportive, professional team culture. Holiday entitlement dependent on the hours worked. Opportunities for growth and development within the business.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prep various ingredients such as meats and vegetables.
- Clean the kitchen space after cooking each meal and ensure the prep area and kitchen is cleaned and sanitised at the end of your shift.
- Complete customer orders in a timely manner.
- Rotate stock items as per established guidelines.
- Make sure food items are stored at appropriate temperatures.
- Preparing, cooking, and plating dishes, especially during busy periods.
