Sales & Marketing Coordinator

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded

Sales & Marketing Coordinator to support the growth of the business through a combination of outbound business development and marketing activities.

This is a hands‑on role with a strong focus on generating new business opportunities.

The successful candidate will spend a significant proportion of their time contacting prospective clients from an existing database, introducing our services, identifying opportunities, and working in conjunction with the sales team to win new business.

Alongside business development responsibilities, the role will support the company's marketing activity through social media management, website content creation, email marketing campaigns, and lead follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development (Primary Focus)
  • Proactively contact prospective clients from an existing database via telephone.
  • Generate new business opportunities through outbound cold calling.
  • Qualify leads
  • Work with the sales team to provide quotations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all activity within the CRM system.
  • Follow up enquiries and marketing-generated leads.
  • Build relationships with prospective clients and nurture future opportunities.

  • Create and publish regular social media content across Linked In and other relevant platforms.
  • Assist with developing content that promotes company services, market expertise, vacancies, and success stories.

  • Ensure website content remains accurate, relevant, and engaging.
  • Monitor engagement levels and identify opportunities to improve reach and visibility.

  • Design, create and distribute email marketing campaigns and mailshots.
  • Segment databases and target campaigns appropriately.
  • Monitor campaign performance, including open rates and click-through rates.
  • Follow up email opens and engaged contacts with outbound calls.
  • Support lead nurturing activities and sales campaigns.

  • Maintain CRM records and contact databases.
  • Produce regular activity reports covering calls, appointments, campaigns, and lead generation.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Previous experience in a sales, business development, marketing, or support role.
  • Confident and professional telephone manner.
  • Comfortable making high volumes of outbound calls.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Experience using Linked In and social media platforms for business purposes.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and target-driven.
