About AT & C

AT&C Professional Systems is an established audiovisual integration and reseller business based in London, delivering AV solutions across the hospitality sector. We are a close-knit team of around 35 people, and as the business grows we are investing in the structure and systems to support it.

This is a newly shaped role at the centre of that investment, with real scope to build something and a clear pathway to management responsibility as the role matures.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced HR & Compliance Manager to lead and develop our people, compliance, and governance functions. This is a broad and influential role requiring a strong understanding of UK employment law, regulatory compliance, contract management, and organisational best practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, absence management, performance processes, and offboarding.
  • Lead annual pay review processes and provide professional HR guidance to managers and employees.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practice frameworks across the business with support from our external partner.
  • Ensure compliance with current and emerging employment legislation, including the Equality Act 2010, Working Time Regulations, GDPR, and reforms arising from the Employment Rights Bill.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, assessing business impact and recommending appropriate action.
  • Manage disciplinary, grievance, capability, and other employee relations processes.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain client, supplier, and subcontractor contracts, identifying and mitigating contractual risks.
  • Prepare and maintain compliance documentation for tenders, PQQs, audits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and manage the company's compliance framework, ensuring appropriate controls, records, and reporting mechanisms are in place.
  • Design, implement, and oversee company-wide training, induction, health and safety, and professional development programmes.
  • Maintain training records and certification requirements, ensuring ongoing compliance across the workforce.

About You

You will bring:

  • Significant experience in HR, compliance, governance, or business administration.
  • Proven experience creating, implementing, and reviewing company policies and procedures.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • An understanding of the forthcoming Employment Rights Bill reforms and their implications for employers.
  • Experience managing contracts, compliance documentation, and regulatory obligations.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to advise stakeholders at all levels.
  • High levels of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.

Desirable

  • CIPD Level 5 or above, or an equivalent HR or similar qualification.
  • Experience within engineering, technical, or professional services environments.
  • Experience with HR systems, compliance management software, and audit processes.
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety compliance frameworks and tender submissions.

What We Offer

  • Salary of £40,000 to £50,000, dependent on experience.
  • 23 days holiday + BH. 3 days aligned to Christmas close down each year. After 2 years' service you get an additional day for each year after up to a total of 28.
  • A varied and strategic role with significant responsibility and visibility.
  • The opportunity to shape and strengthen HR, compliance, and governance standards across the organisation.
