Join our dynamic team at the HR Dept London City and Central, where we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional HR consulting services. We provide high-quality, commercial HR advice and support to a diverse range of clients, helping them navigate complex HR issues with ease. We offer a full HR service offering with a main focus on employee relations issues (disciplines, grievances, redundancies), performance management, recruitment, training, and development.
Purpose of the role: The HR Advisor is the first point of contact for HR Dept clients. You will be responsible for providing high quality and commercial HR advice and support to clients and navigating through HR processes to provide solutions to people problems. You will also be responsible for undertaking client project work as required.
Main responsibilities:
- HR Service Delivery: First point of contact for the HR Advice Line service, ensuring accurate, timely and commercial HR advice and support for clients.
- Providing advice to clients on all aspects of HR, particularly employee relations matters, over the telephone and via email.
- Advising and managing on behalf of clients' disciplinary issues, employee grievances, performance management, redundancies, and TUPE.
- Creating and issuing documents that support the specialist advice provided to clients.
- Delivering project work including staff surveys, salary benchmarking and managing client appraisals.
- Helping develop and prepare training materials.
- Creating and updating client policies, procedures, and handbooks to ensure compliance with employment law and good HR practice.

Candidate Requirements:
- CIPD qualified/working towards, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent and up to date UK employment law knowledge.
- Experience in managing a range of ER casework.
- Graduate calibre. HR experience over various business sectors is desirable.
- Commercially aware of the needs of small businesses.
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
- Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to organise own workload to meet targets and deadlines.
- Good MS Office skills - Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Location and Working Hours: This role is office based in Swindon, with occasional travel to London. Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Salary and Other Benefits: We offer a competitive salary between Β£30K and Β£35K DOE, 25 days holiday + BH (FTE), Workplace Pension, Free on-site parking, Health Cash Plan Scheme.
