We are looking for a highly organised, initiative-taking Business Operations Administrator to plan, coordinate and deliver operational and executive support for our client’s organisation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys creating structure and is passionate about driving efficiency and continuous improvement. The Business Operations Administrator will plan, coordinate and deliver operational projects that enhance business efficiency, process consistency and organisational development. You will translate strategic requirements into clear, documented and fully implemented operational processes, ensuring all outputs meet internal standards and support scalable growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Free the Managing Director up to allow him to devote his time to running the business and delivering upon strategy and sales opportunities.
- Provide prompts to the Managing Director, relating to projects requiring completion and arranging the necessary appointments.
- Support the business to develop clear project scopes, objectives and timelines.
- Support the business to manage the end‑to‑end delivery of operational projects.
- Design, document and implement operational processes, procedures and workflow systems.
- Compile, maintain and update operational manuals, process documents and standard operating procedures.
- Provide high level administrative and strategic support to the Managing Director.
- Complete administrative and organisational tasks delegated by the Managing Director, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Create presentations, reports, and compiling data for meetings.
- Collaborate with senior managers to gather information, align processes and support the adoption of new systems and procedures.
- Lead operational improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Analyse operational data to support decision‑making, identify risks and recommend improvements.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, trackers and records.
- Coordinate cross‑departmental process mapping to ensure clarity, consistency and alignment across teams.
- Provide structured updates and reports on project progress, risks and outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
- Support the development and implementation of systems.
- Ensure all operational outputs meet internal quality standards and are delivered in a clear, professional and compliant format.
- Take the lead on managing all Head Office facilities management.
- Promote continuous improvement and support the embedding of operational discipline across the organisation.
KEY SKILLS
- Excellent Administration, PA or Executive Assistant skills attuned to supporting a busy entrepreneur.
- Able to manage operational and process‑based projects within an SME or manufacturing environment.
- Able to design, document and implement structured business processes.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written communication skills, able to produce clear and accurate documentation.
