About the Role
We are seeking a Senior IT & Systems Officer to act as the central point of contact for all technology across the Society. This is a pivotal role, responsible for shaping how IT supports our people and operations, while working closely with our external IT provider to ensure a high‑performing, secure, and responsive technology environment. You will play a key role in enabling colleagues to work effectively, ensuring systems, infrastructure, and support services operate to a consistently high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the lead for all IT and digital services across the Society, coordinating with external partners on strategy, operations, and performance.
- Work closely with our external IT provider to ensure efficient delivery of technical support, infrastructure services, and system performance.
- Oversee onboarding and support for staff, including account setup, licensing, hardware provisioning, and access management.
- Manage the procurement, configuration, and distribution of devices and equipment for both office and remote working.
- Act as the main point of contact for IT support partners across infrastructure, cyber security, CRM systems, and website platforms, escalating issues where required.
- Support the maintenance of Cyber Essentials Plus certification, including adherence to security processes and testing requirements.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of IT and information security policies.
- Provide technical support and training for hybrid meetings and office technologies.
- Maintain accurate asset records and support effective IT asset management.
- Work closely with the CRM & Data Product Owner to support system administration and maximise the effectiveness of data and business processes.
About You
You will bring a practical, solutions‑focused approach to IT, combined with strong stakeholder skills and a proactive mindset. We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience managing IT services and equipment provisioning end‑to‑end, from procurement through to deployment.
- A strong understanding of CRM systems and experience supporting business users.
- Experience managing suppliers or external service providers.
- Excellent problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive, trusted relationships across teams and stakeholders.
- Experience supporting end‑user technology in a professional environment.
It would also be advantageous if you have:
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
- Experience working within a membership organisation or with volunteer networks.
- Data analysis or negotiation skills.

- Strong communicator, both written and verbal, able to engage confidently with technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Positive, collaborative, and adaptable, with a focus on delivering high‑quality outcomes.

Qualifications and Technical Skills
- Educated to Level 3 or equivalent (degree‑level education desirable).
- Strong IT literacy, including Microsoft 365 and database systems.
- Experience working with CRM and CMS platforms (knowledge of Umbraco is beneficial).
