Kennel Manager
Are you passionate about animal welfare and experienced in managing a busy kennel or pet care environment? We\βre looking for a dedicated Kennel & Cattery Manager to lead our team and ensure the highest standards of care, safety, and comfort for all our animals and staff members.
About the Role
As Kennel & Cattery Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our facility, whilst also being an operational member of the team, ensuring that all animals receive exceptional care and that the environment is well maintained, safe, and welcoming. You\βll be responsible for leading a team of kennel assistants, managing bookings and client communications, and maintaining compliance with animal welfare regulations.

In this role, you\βll be a key part of keeping things running smoothly and that sometimes means rolling up your sleeves to support colleagues during busy periods or when others are off unexpectedly. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily running of the kennels, ensuring high standards of hygiene, safety, and animal welfare.
- Manage and train kennel staff, including rota planning and performance management.
- Administer feeding, exercise, grooming, and medication schedules.
- Liaise with pet owners, vets, suppliers, and inspectors in a professional and caring manner.
- Maintain accurate records of animal care, health checks, and client information.
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure equipment and facilities are well maintained.
- Support business development through excellent customer service and reputation management.
About You
- Proven experience in animal care, ideally within a kennel, cattery, or veterinary setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of animal welfare legislation and licensing requirements.
- Confident handling a range of dog breeds and temperaments, oh and cats!
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to providing exceptional care
- Full UK driving licence and own transport is essential

Salary: Up to Β£40K DOE
