We're looking for an experienced

AV Installation Engineer to join a growing team delivering high-quality audio-visual and control system projects.

This role will suit someone who already has solid AV installation experience and enjoys taking pride in delivering installations to a high standard.

Experience is essential, but just as important is a positive, can-do attitude and a genuine willingness to learn, develop and grow your skills.

You'll be joining a supportive environment where you'll work alongside experienced engineers and have opportunities to deepen your technical expertise.

The Role

As an AV Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for installing AV and control systems on client sites, taking projects from first fix through to handover for commissioning.

You'll work as part of a project team under the guidance of Lead Site Engineers and collaborate closely with commissioning and project management teams to ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • AV System Installation
  • Complete first-fix installation work including containment, back boxes and cable pulls.
  • Carry out second-fix installation work including terminations and equipment installation.
  • Work from current project drawings and approved installation standards.
  • Test and document cabling as work progresses.
  • Produce accurate as-built information and installation records.
  • Report daily progress and highlight any issues that could impact delivery.
  • Identify and elevate design or installation challenges before they become project issues.
  • Complete snagging and rectification work within agreed timescales.
  • Handover & Commissioning Support
  • Assist in preparing installations for successful commissioning.
  • Participate in site inspections and project walk-throughs where required.
  • Verify that any subcontractor work has been completed to the required standard.
  • Support commissioning engineers during project delivery when required.
  • Health, Safety & Professional Conduct
  • Work in accordance with project RAMS and all site safety requirements.
  • Attend toolbox talks and contribute to a positive safety culture.
  • Report health and safety concerns, hazards and near misses promptly.
  • Represent the business professionally on client and contractor sites.
  • Materials & Equipment Management
  • Check and record site deliveries.
  • Report shortages, damage or discrepancies promptly.
  • Ensure unused materials are returned and appropriately recorded.
  • Maintain and care for company tools and testing equipment.
  • Teamwork & Development
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, project managers and subcontractors.
  • Communicate effectively and proactively when issues arise.
  • Complete company and site inductions.
  • Continuously develop technical knowledge and installation skills.
  • Take ownership of personal development and seek support when needed.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Proven hands-on AV installation experience, including first and second fix.
  • ECS or CSCS card.
  • Right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available).
  • Experience working on live construction sites alongside multiple trades.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • Reliable, organised and able to communicate honestly about project progress.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.

Desirables

  • Experience with Crestron, Lutron, Dante or certified structured cabling systems.
  • IPAF, PASMA or 18th Edition qualification.
  • Workshop rack build and termination experience.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary of

£35,000 to £40,000 , depending on experience.

  • 23 days holiday +BH. 3 days aligned to Christmas close down each year. After 2 year's service you get and an additional day for each year after up to a total of 28.
