Our client is an established international manufacturing and engineering business supplying innovative material solutions to the Healthcare and Life Sciences sectors.

With ambitious growth plans, they are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to drive commercial growth across the UK market.

This is an opportunity for a Sales focused individual to develop new business, strengthen existing customer relationships and establish long term partnerships with leading organisations across the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify and secure new business opportunities across the Healthcare and Life Sciences sectors.
  • Turn given quality leads into new business.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities, taking projects through the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation and handover.
  • Develop lasting relationships with decision makers and senior leadership teams.
  • Understand customers' technical and commercial requirements and develop tailored solutions that address their challenges.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external teams to ensure successful project delivery and excellent customer experience.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging technologies to identify future opportunities.
  • Represent the business at industry exhibitions, conferences, networking events and customer meetings.
  • Develop and deliver a business development strategy that supports the company's long-term growth objectives.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM data while delivering against commercial objectives.
  • What We Are Looking For
  • Significant business development experience within the Med Tech, Medical Devices or Life Sciences sectors.
  • A proven track record of securing high value accounts and delivering sustainable revenue growth.
  • An established network within the UK healthcare industry.
  • A solid understanding of healthcare product development, manufacturing environments and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated and entrepreneurial approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and relationship building skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage sales activity and forecasting.
  • The ambition and capability to progress into wider strategic leadership responsibilities.
