Are you the kind of HR professional who does not want to sit on the sidelines?

Someone who enjoys getting out into the business, building relationships, winning people over and helping managers make better people decisions?

If so, this could be a great opportunity to take your next step.

We are looking for an HR Business Partner to become the onsite presence of HR across two UK sites, working closely with managers, employees and site leadership to deliver a positive and consistent people experience.

This is a role with real visibility and real influence.

You will take the direction and strategy from the wider EMEA HR function and turn it into something that works locally – bringing people initiatives to life, supporting managers through day-to-day challenges and making sure employees have a trusted HR presence they can turn to.

And you will have the support around you to succeed.

You will work alongside a central HR team, with an external HR consultancy available for more complex ER matters, as well as HR Administration support.

So, you are not expected to know everything or do everything yourself.

Instead, you can focus on what you do best, building relationships, influencing people and making HR happen.

What will your day look like?

This is a varied, people-focused role where no two days are likely to be the same.

You will

  • Be the go to HR person for managers and employees across both UK sites.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with site leadership and become a credible HR partner to the business.
  • Get involved with the issues that matter, from performance and absence through to conduct, capability and wider employee relations.
  • Influence and challenge managers, helping them make confident and consistent people decisions.
  • Take Group and EMEA HR strategy and turn it into practical, effective action across the UK.
  • Support the roll out of HR projects, policies and people initiatives.
  • Work alongside the external HR consultancy on more complex employee relations matters, whilst they take up all your HR Admin for you.
  • Be the first point of contact for employee queries.
  • Support onboarding and the wider employee journey.
  • Coordinate performance reviews, training and development activity.
  • Ensure HR processes are applied consistently across both locations.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and support UK employment law compliance.
  • Get involved in wider EMEA and Group HR projects.
  • Prepare and validate monthly payroll information for submission to the payroll provider.

Who are we looking for?

We are not looking for someone who simply ticks boxes on a HR checklist.

We want someone who is confident, approachable and influential.

Someone who can build rapport quickly, understands how to work with different personalities and is comfortable having conversations that sometimes need a little challenge.

You will ideally have

  • Solid HR experience gained as an HR Business Partner, HR Advisor or in a similar role.
  • Experience supporting multiple sites or locations would be a strong advantage.
  • The confidence to work with managers and senior stakeholders and build credibility quickly.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to take direction from a central HR function and deliver it effectively on the ground.
  • A practical and commercially aware approach to HR.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.

Ready to make your mark?

If you are an HR professional who wants to be in the business, not just supporting it from the sidelines, this could be the opportunity you have been looking for.

Bring your HR expertise, your personality and your ability to influence – and make a real difference across two UK sites
