We are looking for a Calibration Technician to join our client’s calibration laboratory near Basingstoke. This role is focused on the accurate and timely calibration of customer equipment, ensuring results are valid, traceable and issued in line with agreed lead times.

Working as part of the team you will support the delivery of high-quality calibration services in accordance with ISO 17025 standards, using approved procedures, appropriate measuring equipment and controlled environmental conditions. The role will involve calibrating a range of instrumentation, including pressure and torque equipment, and contributing to the smooth operation of the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform calibrations in line with recognised and approved procedures
  • Carry out pressure and torque calibrations using approved methods and reference standards
  • Process calibration orders within the lab to agreed lead times
  • Ensure the timely release of calibration results and reports
  • Maintain traceability to national and international standards
  • Ensure the validity and accuracy of calibration results and certificates
  • Carry out interim checks on reference equipment, including pressure and torque standards, in accordance with defined processes
  • Ensure standards and measuring equipment are functioning correctly and fit for purpose
  • Handle and process customer equipment safely and correctly
  • Provide technical support to order fulfilment and internal sales teams when required

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working within calibration or a metrology laboratory environment, including exposure to pressure and torque instrumentation
  • Understanding of calibration procedures, traceability and measurement uncertainty
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work to defined procedures and meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills and a team-focused approach
  • Willingness to support on-site calibration when required
