About AT & C AT&C Professional Systems is an established audiovisual integration and reseller business based in London, delivering AV solutions across the hospitality sector. We are a close-knit team of around 35 people, and as the business grows we are investing in the structure and systems to support it. This is a newly shaped role at the centre of that investment, with real scope to build something and a clear pathway to management responsibility as the role matures.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced HR & Compliance Manager to lead and develop our people, compliance, and governance functions. This is a broad and influential role requiring a strong understanding of UK employment law, regulatory compliance, contract management, and organisational best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, absence management, performance processes, and offboarding.
- Lead annual pay review processes and provide professional HR guidance to managers and employees.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practice frameworks across the business with support from our external partner.
- Ensure compliance with current and emerging employment legislation, including the Equality Act 2010, Working Time Regulations, GDPR, and reforms arising from the Employment Rights Bill.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, assessing business impact and recommending appropriate action.
- Manage disciplinary, grievance, capability, and other employee relations processes.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain client, supplier, and subcontractor contracts, identifying and mitigating contractual risks.
- Prepare and maintain compliance documentation for tenders, PQQs, audits, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and manage the company's compliance framework, ensuring appropriate controls, records, and reporting mechanisms are in place.
- Design, implement, and oversee company-wide training, induction, health and safety, and professional development programmes.
- Maintain training records and certification requirements, ensuring ongoing compliance across the workforce.
About You
You will bring:
- Significant experience in HR, compliance, governance, or business administration.
- Proven experience creating, implementing, and reviewing company policies and procedures.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- An understanding of the forthcoming Employment Rights Bill reforms and their implications for employers.
- Experience managing contracts, compliance documentation, and regulatory obligations.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to advise stakeholders at all levels.
- High levels of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
- CIPD Level 5 or above, or an equivalent HR or similar qualification.
- Experience within engineering, technical, or professional services environments.
- Experience with HR systems, compliance management software, and audit processes.
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety compliance frameworks and tender submissions.
What We Offer
- Salary of £40,000 to £50,000, dependent on experience.
- 23 days holiday +BH. 3 days aligned to Christmas close down each year. After 2 years’ service you get an additional day for each year after up to a total of 28.
