What will you be doing?

  • Taking full ownership of materials planning, production scheduling, and logistics operations across the business.
  • Auditing and redesigning planning processes to improve supplier on-time delivery and overall production efficiency.
  • Building realistic production and material plans that balance service levels, capacity, and inventory.
  • Leading the customer service function, managing day-to-day interactions with automotive OEMs (including JLR, Ford).
  • Overseeing goods-in processing, stock management, and finished goods shipping.
  • Full responsibility for the department, including recruitment, mentoring, upskilling, and performance management.
  • Promoting lean and improvement initiatives across all supply chain processes.
  • Driving company performance through KPI monitoring and delivering detailed monthly MP&L activity reports to the Management Team.

What will help you get the job done?

  • Leadership experience in a supply chain function in the manufacturing sector (automotive, electronics, aviation, or similar industries would be an advantage).
  • Operational knowledge across the end-to-end supply chain, specifically in material planning, production scheduling, and managing the customer interface is essential.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, ideally with previous exposure to system migrations or implementations.
  • A hands-on, proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • You should be comfortable working autonomously and managing change.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage complex relationships with both internal production teams and high-pressure external customers.
