Job Examples:
- Advise the General Manager, Management Company and Owners on operational, legal and financial matters, ensuring changes to systems, policies and procedures are approved prior to implementation.
- Oversee financial processes and controls, ensuring accuracy of accounts, reports and compliance with all legal and accounting requirements.
- Manage budgets and expenditure, maintaining costs within approved limits, reporting variances, and obtaining approval for non-budgeted spend.
- Ensure all company and owner assets are accurately recorded, controlled and managed in line with policy.
- Implement and maintain robust accounting and control procedures across finance, purchasing, stores, payroll, F&B cost control and cash handling.
- Monitor revenue controls including billing accuracy, cash control, floats, credit balances and foreign currency transactions.
- Produce and submit accurate financial reports within agreed deadlines, including daily, weekly and monthly reports, rolling forecasts, P&L accounts, budgets and year-end audited accounts.
- Control payroll costs through effective rostering and accurate wage forecasting.
- Lead, train and develop the accounts team, supporting departmental and hotel training plans, and assist HR with recruitment of finance and key operational staff.
- Promote effective inter-departmental communication, teamwork and a positive working culture.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience within an accounts/ finance position specifically within a hotel.
- Experience of using Guestline PMS is advantageous but not essential to apply.
