About the Role
We are recruiting reliable Kitchen Porters and Event Porters to support a wide range of venues across Reading - including hotels, event spaces, nearby stadiums and private functions. Shifts are fully flexible, making this ideal for anyone looking to earn extra money around other commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting chefs and catering teams with general cleaning and kitchen duties
- Washing dishes, utensils and equipment via pot wash, plate wash or glasswash
- Cloakroom duties when required
- Keeping workstations clean, organised and safe
- Moving stock, equipment and furniture for event setups
- Assisting with event setup and breakdown
- Following all health & safety and food hygiene procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a Kitchen Porter, Catering Assistant or Event Porter is helpful but not essential
- A positive, can-do attitude and strong team ethic
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility for evenings, weekends and occasional short notice shifts
