Joining H&R Block as a Tax Associate means you will have the support of an expert team dedicated to providing tax training to help you succeed. You will also have the freedom, flexibility, and potential for additional earnings to embrace what makes your life uniquely yours.
Responsibilities
- Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email).
- Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
- Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
- Provide clients with IRS support.
- Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.
- Grow your tax expertise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
- Ability to work a minimum of 25-35 hours weekly throughout tax season and up to 40 hours during peak weeks.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course is preferred (or enrollment/completion not guaranteed as stated).
- High school diploma or equivalent or higher.
- Comfort working with virtual tools (video, phone, chat) and effective communication in person, by phone, and in writing.
- Must meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements.
