Shift Leader Shift Pattern: Rotations (06:30 – 14:30 / 14:30 – 22:30)

Department: Production

Job Purpose: To be the responsible person in the area, for the safety of employees throughout production and to allocate resource to machines. Providing approximately 90% hands on work and 10% indirect work. To support the Value stream leader to drive quality, and on time delivery. To liaise with all support teams across the business to close out any issues in a timely manner.

Key Role Requirements:

  • Gain full knowledge of how to set and operate all processes within the area.
  • In regards to tooling, programming, part specifications (R/ness, Form and Tolerances) and how to read machine side gauging.
  • Trouble shoot and solve issues in the area working with the LHs before calling on support teams.
  • Fully understand and gain knowledge of the part catalogue being processed through the area.
  • Work with value stream leaders and Leading Hands to execute daily, weekly and monthly on time delivery within the area.
  • Work with Leading Hands to close out all Miquest requests in the area.
  • Organise, attend and close MRB’s with Value stream leader.
  • To use initiative and explain how to implement changes to improve productivity in a chosen area.
