Job Description:
The role of the Assembly Engineering Technician is to support Assembly Engineering, learn Assembly processes and work with Production support teams on process developments. The role will also involve supporting the business on a day-to-day basis through technical problem-solving techniques in a team environment with guidance from other members of the Assembly Engineering team. In this role, you will support the business in delivering to customers such as Rolls Royce, MBDA, Safran, NASA and Thales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Aid with technical problem solving through assembly
- Assembly Process Sheet updates and improvements
- Design and order tooling
- Creation & maintenance of SOPs
- Team working on 8D and CAPA
- Take part in process improvement workshops
- Participation in scrap & project meetings as required
- Carry out other tasks or assignments linked to this position as directed by the Assembly Manufacturing Engineers or direct Line Manager.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum of UK level 3 qualification preferred, other qualifications will be considered depending on experience.
- Communication, verbal and written.
- Good English and Mathematics.
- Knowledge of bearing assembly processes desirable
- Exposure to CAD, tooling design, desirable.
