We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a production design engineer.
Job Outline:
We are currently looking for a dynamic individual to join our team at HQW Aerospace UK. HQW Aerospace UK is seeking a production design engineer to play a vital role in bringing new bearing products to market. The role will focus on design and manufacturing documentation surrounding new product introduction and the development of both the product and process.
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure new bearings are manufacturable.
- Develop and implement efficient production processes for new bearings.
- Create manufacturing plans, including bills of materials and production schedules.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential manufacturing risks.
- Design and implement robust gauging solutions.
- Support production launch and ramp-up of new bearings.
- Continuously improve manufacturing processes to optimize quality and efficiency.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in manufacturing engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably bearings or precision components.
- Experience with new product introduction (NPI) processes.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing principles and processes.
- Experience with soft machining and hard machining processes would be beneficial.
- Strong mathematical abilities, experience with MathCAD would be beneficial.
- CAD experience would be beneficial, SolidWorks preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
