Help us create homes where customers feel safe, secure, and supported.
At Abri, safety isn’t just about meeting regulations. It’s about giving people peace of mind that the place they call home is protected, well maintained and cared for.
We’re looking for a Fire Safety Surveyor to join our team and play a key role in keeping our customers safe. This is an opportunity to use your fire safety expertise to make a genuine difference, working across our homes and communities to identify improvements, deliver projects and ensure we’re doing the right thing for our customers.
This role is primarily site based, giving you the opportunity to build strong relationships with colleagues and stay connected to the day to day operation. You’ll typically work on site Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to spend 1-2 days each week working from home or one of our office locations.
You’ll spend your time out in our communities, working alongside colleagues, contractors and customers to make sure fire safety improvements are delivered to a high standard and that our homes remain compliant, safe, and fit for the future.
This is a role for someone who enjoys solving problems, building trusted relationships and taking ownership. You’ll be the person who turns recommendations into action, overseeing fire safety works from specification through to completion and making sure every project delivers the outcomes our customers deserve.
What you’ll bring
We’re not just looking for technical expertise, we’re looking for someone who shares our passion for doing the right thing.
You’ll have a recognised fire safety qualification (Level 3 or above), experience within surveying or fire safety delivery, and a strong understanding of current fire safety legislation and guidance. Experience within social housing would be a real advantage.
Most importantly, you’ll be someone who can balance technical excellence with a customer-focused approach. You’ll be comfortable working with a variety of people, explaining complex information clearly, challenging when needed, and collaborating with others to find the best solutions.
You’ll also be curious about what’s next, keeping up to date with changes in building and fire safety legislation and helping us continually improve the way we work.
We’re a team of people who genuinely care about our customers, communities and each other. We believe everyone should have a safe place to call home, and we’re ambitious about making that happen.
In return, you’ll have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects, be part of a supportive and collaborative team, and use your expertise to make a visible difference across our homes and communities every day.
If you’re passionate about fire safety and want to be part of an organisation where your work has real purpose, we’d love to hear from you.
