Support Worker β Supported Accommodation (Birmingham)
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week OR Part-time (3 days a week)
Salary: Around Β£28,000 per annum/Pro-Rata for Part-time, (depending on experience)
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Support Worker to join our Supported Accommodation team in Birmingham. You will play a key role in helping tenants maintain their independence, manage their tenancy, and work towards their personal goals.
This role involves visiting supported properties, delivering regular support sessions, assisting tenants with paperwork and financial matters, and ensuring that accommodation standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct weekly support sessions with tenants to review goals, wellbeing, and progress.
Support tenants with paperwork, job applications, and proof of income collection.
Collect service charges in line with organisational procedures.
Assist with paperwork and tenancy management, ensuring accurate records are kept.
Identify and log property maintenance issues for the maintenance team to address promptly.
Promote a safe, clean, and supportive living environment across all properties.
Maintain clear and timely support files
Work collaboratively across teams
Uphold confidentiality, safeguarding, and equality standards at all times.
Requirements
Essential:
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Previous experience in supported housing, homelessness services, or a similar support role.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload.
Strong Record-keeping skills.
Desirable:
Experience supporting vulnerable adults or individuals with support needs.
