The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a New Business Administrator to join our friendly and supportive team at HPJV Solicitors in Newport. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about providing excellent support and client care and eager to advance their careers in a reputable legal firm.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a New Business Administrator, you will often be the first point of contact for new clients, helping to ensure they receive a warm, professional and efficient introduction to the firm. Key responsibilities include:

  • Responding promptly to new enquiries by telephone, email, portals and in person
  • Following up and progressing new enquiries in line with service standards
  • Liaising with clients to obtain required information and documentation
  • Carrying out conflict checks
  • Opening new matters on the Case Management System
  • Managing client correspondence and diary entries
  • Providing reception cover where required
  • General administrative duties including post scanning

Essential Skills and Experience

To excel in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of customer services, administration or secretarial experience, within the legal sector.
  • A friendly, professional telephone manner
