An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Solicitor/Legal Executive to join our highly regarded Family department. The vacancy is in our Divorce and Finance Team with the opportunity to work in our Newport or Cardiff office and the option of hybrid working.

You will be joining a well-established team, reporting directly to the department Directors, and you will manage a varied caseload of both private funded and Legal Aided matters. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Efficiently manage your own mixed case load
- Meet time and fee targets
- Provide legal advice and representation
- Prepare and draft legal documents
- Attending client conferences
- Attending conference with counsel
- Attending hearings with counsel
- Preparation of statements and other court documents/pleadings
- To conduct own advocacy and represent clients at court hearings
Skills and Experience
- Newly Qualified with Family Law experience preferred
- Good knowledge of the public funding regulations and LAA procedures
- Committed team player with the ability to approach team concerns fairly, fostering a culture of positive change
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines with minimum supervision
- Self-motivated and commercially minded, with a drive to generate new work and encourage cross referrals
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft packages and Case Management Systems
