We currently have a great opportunity for Care Assistants to join our Care Plus team at The Sandford Nursing Home on a permanent basis. We’re looking for a caring, dedicated professional to bring our values to life and ensure our customers receive outstanding services.
The Sandford Nursing Home, Church Stretton, Shropshire is a place our residents call home. It’s a happy, welcoming atmosphere set amongst the Shropshire hills with luxurious accommodation and expert, nursing-led care.
The Role
As a Care Assistant, you will work within the nursing team assisting elderly residents with normal activities of daily life, promoting their independence and maintaining their dignity and respect. You will assist residents with all aspects of everyday life. This will involve:
- Assisting with personal hygiene including washing and using the toilet
- Assistance with diet and nutritional requirements
- Helping the promotion and stimulation of mental and physical activity
Skills and experience required:
- The ability to work within a team and independently
- Previous experience in providing a quality care service for people
- A commitment to delivering quality care to vulnerable adults
- Excellent verbal, written and face-to-face communication skills
- Caring attitude with desire to help and support others
- Care home experience is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to commute within no more than 1 hour distance of the home
Due to the nature of this post, the role is subject to an Enhanced with Adult Barred DBS disclosure.
